To SIM or Not To SIM?

I highly recommend either purchasing a SIM card or activating an international plan from your cell phone carrier. I personally found Google Maps superior to the GPS system in the car.

If you are arriving in Rome (FCO), you’ll be able to find both TIM and Vodafone booths. They are available in Terminal 3 arrivals.

Please make sure you activate and insert your SIM card before you leave the airport. If you are having trouble, you should address this with the person that sold the SIM card as soon as possible. Sometimes you may need to restart your phone and it may take a few minutes!
