What is the dress code?
Summer suits and party dresses… think elegant but comfortable. Over the top and full-out glam is also encouraged. Click here for inspiration.
For the rehearsal dinner (Sat) and the goodbye brunch (Mon), we recommend smart casual. However, we still encourage you wear your stylish “Tuscan Summer” outfits.
All events are outdoors and the castle is atop a hill.
Also, don’t forget to bring a bathing suit! The wedding party will be lounging by the pool after the brunch and you are welcome to join. There are also amazing hiking opportunities in the area if you plan to also explore Tuscany.
What can I do to prepare?
Please make sure your passport and any other travel documents are renewed or updated. Do not forget adapters and outlet converters. We also highly recommend researching your international carrier plan and bank policies for roaming data charges and withdrawing cash.
If you are a friend of the bride, groom, or parents of the couple, please make sure you add them on WhatsApp, WeChat, Discord, FB, or another group chatting app to stay in touch while in Italy!
What will the weather be like?
No idea yet! But we will keep you posted. July is one of the drier months for Tuscany, so fingers crossed that there will be no rain.
Tuscany has average lows of 64°F (18°C) and highs of 88°F (31°C) in July. Italy in general is known to be very hot in July so don’t forget sunscreen and a hat! Since the castle is a top a hill, late night partying will be cooler.
Should I rent a car?
Yes, we do recommend you rent a car from the airport that you fly into. The drive from Florence or Rome to Poggi del Sasso (the town that the venue is located) is about 2-2.5 hours. However, you can also hire a car service in advance to take you through Tuscany.
We advise you book your car rental early like your travel and accommodations if you’d prefer an automatic car. These are usually are the first to sell out at major airports due to popularity amongst foreign tourists.
Also, please get an International Driving Permit here if you do rent a car. It is not required for every rental company but it is necessary if you end up dealing with any traffic stops or car issues.
I was told there was a dance I should learn?
Yes, of course! Click here!
